Vaccarello, Ione M. age 76 of Rockford died at 12:40 AM Sat. Feb. 27, 2010 in Northwoods Care Center after a long illness. She was born Jan. 23, 1934 in Renville, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Tina Grabow. She lived 71 years in Rockford coming here from Renville, Minnesota. She married Steve Vaccarello in Rockford on April 25, 1959. She was employed as a Secretary and Treasurer by Vaccarello Financial Services for 25 years. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Ione was also a receptionist for Rockford Clinic from 1953 to 1983 for the original 12 doctors that started the Rockford Clinic, and was a Pink Lady at St. Anthony Hospital. She graduated from West High School in 1953. Survivors include: husband Steve Vaccarello of Rockford, son Peter (Lena) Vaccarello of So. Elgin, IL, sisters Verlyce (Louis) Fasulo of West Lake Village, IL and Jane (Steve) Larson of Rockford, brother Arthur (Maureen) Grabow Jr. of North Fort Myers, FL, also many nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Stephen M. Vaccarello in 1973 at age 5, her mother, father, sisters Lorena Conway, Ruth Freedlund, Lavonne Frazier, Ardus Jaderstrom, brothers Jerry Ardel and Leroy Grabow.
