Biography

Fornal, Stanislaw age 98 of Rockford died Tuesday, Feb 9, 2010. He was born May 7, 1911 in Dukla, Poland the son of Jan & Maria (Mucha) Fornal. He lived 47 years in Rockford, coming here from Minneapolis, MN. He married Martha Greiger in 1943 and she predeceased him Jan. 4, 2007. He was employed in Poland as an electrician installer and after immigrating to America he worked at Barber-Coleman for 22 years. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. Stan enjoyed working in his garage & enjoyed his pets.
Survivors include: son, Stanley (Georgina) Fornal of Cherry Valley, grandson Michael Fornal and granddaughter Amy (Bob) Peterson both of Rockford. He was also predeceased by daughter Christa Fornal.
