Biography

Loving Mother and Grandmother –

Sparacino, Malvina “Molly” T., age 91 of Rockford died at 4:00 PM on Wed. Feb. 3, 2010 in Swedish American Hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1918 in Pana, IL the daughter of John and Maria Brush. She lived 70 years in Rockford, coming here from Assumption, IL. She married Anthony J. Sparacino in Rockford on June 21, 1947. He predeceased her on July 4, 2006. She was employed as a cashier by Eagle’s on Marchesano Dr. for 17 years and Mr. Doughnut on East State St. for several years. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, the Ladies Prayer Group, Altar & Rosary Society and the St. Anthony PTA. Molly loved her family, music, singing, dancing, baking and was well known for her pies. She was also crowned Miss Assumption. Survivors include: daughter Dolores (Charles) Peila, son Charles “Bud” (Pat) Brackett, daughter Rosemary (Donald) Schulz of Beaver Dam, WI, son John Sparacino of N. Carolina, daughter Toni Sparacino, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, sister Helen Kroncke, brother Jim Brush, sister-in-laws Rosalie Sparacino, Josephine (Pat) Fleming, Marilyn Brush, Lillie Brush, daughter-in-law Shirley Brackett also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her parents, son Peter J. Brackett, brothers Peter, Jack, John, Louie, Charlie, Johnny, sisters Dolores, Mary, Katie, brothers-in-law Philip & Frank Sparacino, also predeceased by several other brother and sister-in-laws. Special thanks to the staff of the 4th floor Swedish American Heart Hospital, the 7th floor Hospice, and Provena St. Anne’s for the loving care they gave to our mother.
